Our History
Seven Corners was established in 1993 by a group of international insurance professionals with a strong commitment to high quality products and excellent customer service. At the time, the company operated under the name Specialty Risk International, Inc. (SRI) and offered medical insurance to travelers worldwide.
The company began operations with less than half of the services it currently offers and had a dramatically shorter list of agents and brokers. Being a new company within the travel insurance marketplace, SRI competed with the larger organizations by providing exceptional and accurate customer service. Through responsiveness and innovation, the company continued to grow over the course of the 1990's.
Over time, the company expanded its list of services to include in-house claim processing and worldwide assistance. By 2000, SRI was a full service managing general underwriter providing insured products on behalf of several U.S. as well as global insurance companies. Our list of consumer products included trip cancellation insurance, travel medical insurance, scheduled benefit visitor programs, and worldwide medical insurance.
In January 2007, SRI strategically changed its name to Seven Corners, Inc. to better describe the company's expansive service offerings, expertise, capabilities and deep-seated connections to the global community.
This name change also corresponded with our expansion into government and administrative services work. We now perform medical administrative and assistance services for PeaceCorps, AmeriCorps, and the United States Department of State.
In the years to come, Seven Corners will continually strive to offer innovative services and exemplary customer service to clients and members throughout the world.
