Seven Corners Awarded Health Insurance Contract for Returning Peace Corps Volunteers

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- (PRWeb) -- August 8, 2011 -- Seven Corners was just awarded a health insurance contract for Returning Peace Corps Volunteers with one Base Year and 4 Option years.

Peace Corps is an independent executive agency established by the Federal Government in 1961 to promote world peace and friendship through the service of American volunteers abroad. The agency currently manages more than 8,655 volunteers in approximately 77 international posts. Additionally, the agency manages healthcare services for more than 15,000 volunteers including applicants to the program, active volunteers and returned volunteers.

Seven Corners has held the Health Benefit Program management contract for Active Peace Corps volunteers that is funded by the federal government since August of 2005 and just this week was awarded the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) insurance program contract. Under the new contract Seven Corners will provide an insurance product for all volunteers who desire to continue their health coverage after they return from their active service and rejoin civilian life.

"Seven Corners is pleased to expand this government focused contract into our commercial insurance lines. We are fortunate to have such a great partner in Peace Corps and are excited about expanding our services in the United States as well as abroad for Peace Corps," stated Donna Rau, Director of Seven Corners Government Division.
