Student coverage to safely travel abroad.

Liaison Student and Student Express are More Competitive than Ever

Jun 01, 2016

Student travel is increasing! Just in time for peak season, we’ve updated our student products to help you capture this growing market. Effective June 1, Liaison Student and Student Express are receiving significant enhancements, which make them more competitive with regard to both benefits and pricing! In addition, we are increasing the commission levels for Liaison Student to match those for Student Express. Review a quick summary of the changes here.

Benefits Your Clients Need
Many colleges, universities, and exchange programs want to ensure that program participants have appropriate medical coverage. To respond to this need, we have increased medical maximums and added additional options for your clients.

J Visa Compliant — One key component for these updates is providing appropriate choices for J Visa participants. It’s important that members traveling on a J1 or J2 visa understand the insurance requirements for this program. The Department of State provides a detailed list of coverage guidelines for sickness and accident medical protection. To meet these requirements, all inbound plans for Liaison Student are now J Visa compliant, and we have four options on Student Express that are compliant. In addition, both student plans are underwritten by Lloyd’s of London, which ensures your clients are purchasing a plan with a carrier that has an “A” rating with A.M. Best. This is a J Visa requirement.
