Cuba and Seven Corners Travel Insurance Plans

Sep 17, 2018

There has been a great deal of confusion about traveling to and from Cuba over the last year.

Here's a quick rundown of what you and your clients need to know.

As of September 17, 2018, the U.S. State Department changed the travel advisory for Cuba from a Level 3 (reconsider travel) to a Level 2 (exercise caution). Travelers should check the State Department Travel Advisories before they consider traveling anywhere abroad, and Cuba is no exception.

The State Department also recommends enrolling in their Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). Enrolling in it will not only supply you with Travel Advisories but also specific, local safety and security information directly from the Embassy.
