New Year, New Updates

Happy New Year! We hope 2018 is off to a great start for you.

We want to provide a quick update regarding our recent database issue. Each affected member has received one of two different emails explaining the steps we took to ensure accurate records. Here is a summary of those emails:  

  1. We sent the member a new certificate number and/or UHC ID number with links to updated documents and asked the member to begin using the new number and ID card immediately. However, we can pay claims submitted with the old number.
  2. We provided the member with new links to access their fulfillment documents.

Our finance team is working on an interim commission payment for remaining December sales that were not paid on January 10, 2018. This special payment will occur before the regularly scheduled commission payment on January 25, 1018. 

Claims processing continues to be delayed due to the holiday backlog and the database issue. Our claims team is putting in extra time to reduce the claims inventory.  

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to work to resolve the situation.

Ecommerce Updates

We made several improvements to our ecommerce experience. These updates are the result of research and testing based on best practices focused on making purchases easier for consumers.

Sunsetting DOGTAG
On February 28, 2018, we will discontinue DOGTAG, our adventure travel medical product. For your adventurous clients, don’t forget they can add hazardous sports coverage to all Liaison plans. With Liaison Continent and Liaison Majestic, the hazardous sports rider covers:  motorcycle/motor scooter riding (as a passenger or driver), hang gliding, parachuting, zip lining, parasailing, bungee jumping, water skiing, wakeboard riding, jet skiing, windsurfing, snowmobiling, and spelunking. 

If you have clients currently covered by DOGTAG, they can renew existing coverage up to a total of 90 days. They will not be able to buy a new policy after February 28, 2018. We will email insureds on February 13, 2018 and explain options to them.

If you currently display any DOGTAG information on your site, please remove the link and any marketing material by February 28.
