How Does Trip Insurance Help Me?

Trip Insurance is provided by Seven Corners as part of a package of insurance benefits and 24/7 non-insurance travel assistance services in our RoundTrip family of plans.
The insurance benefits give you three main types of coverages.
First, there is protection for your unused and nonrefundable trip costs if you need to cancel, interrupt, or delay your trip due to a covered reason.
Examples of covered reasons for cancellation and interruption can include your death, sickness or injury or a family member’s death, sickness, or injury. Other examples can include inclement weather and terrorist incidents. There are many other covered reasons in the RoundTrip plans. Additional terms apply, and we recommend reading your plan document, so you understand what’s covered.
Trip insurance can also protect your medical expenses if you get hurt or sick on your trip.
RoundTrip plans provide secondary coverage. This means they pay only for covered medical expenses your primary health insurance plan won’t cover.
For example, if your primary health insurance paid part of your medical expenses outside the U.S., we would review the unpaid items and pay those covered by the RoundTrip plan. Often, when you travel abroad, your U.S. health insurance won’t follow you, so this is important coverage.
Finally, trip insurance can protect your belongings if they’re lost, stolen, or damaged while traveling.
You can also be reimbursed for personal items if your bags are delayed for the time limit stated in the plan document.
24/7 non-insurance travel assistance services are provided by Seven Corners Assist.
Our team can help with travel needs such as finding a doctor or the nearest embassy.
They can also help with emergencies. For example, if you’re hurt, and appropriate medical care is not available at your location, the plan will pay for an emergency medical evacuation to transport you to a nearby location with appropriate care. Seven Corners will arrange this for you, so you don’t have to worry about doing it on your own.
