Explore North America Plus — Coronavirus Travel Insurance

Specialized visitors medical COVID insurance for up to one year.

Does travel insurance cover COVID-19 illness?

Explore North America Plus has a special benefit for Coronavirus medical expenses, and it’s not affected by travel advisories. It’s simple — if you contract COVID-19 on your trip, you’re covered. You can also be covered for other illnesses and injuries that occur while traveling, as well as the acute onset of a pre-existing condition.*

This plan includes 24/7 multilingual travel assistance services to answer your benefit questions, help you find medical care, and arrange emergency benefits such as an emergency medical evacuation. And in the United States, you have access to a PPO network, so you can find the care you need nearby.

Explore North America Plus is a great value not only because it covers COVID-19 expenses but also because it has comprehensive coverage instead of the more restrictive scheduled benefit coverage often provided on visitors insurance.

We recommend ensuring you're healthy before traveling. The COVID-19 benefit is subject to all plan conditions, including requirements for pre-existing conditions, meaning COVID-19 is not covered if you contract it before your plan begins.

Who can buy visitors insurance? You must be a non-United States resident and a non-United States citizen traveling to the United States, Canada, Mexico, and certain Caribbean countries.** Coverage is available for travelers who are at least 14 days old and younger than 75 years.

*Review coverage details for Acute Onset of a Pre-existing Condition. Coverage begins seven days after the start date of your plan and ends on the earlier of 1) the condition no longer being acute or 2) your discharge from the hospital.

Explore North America Plus has comprehensive coverage — most visitor insurance plans don’t!
