Medical Limit Options (per sickness or injury)

If your injury or sickness requires medical treatment, we will pay up to the amounts in the schedule of benefits, minus your deductible. Emergency Medical Evacuation

We pay up to the limit in the schedule if your medical condition requires immediate transportation from your current medical facility to the closest facility with appropriate care. This benefit must be ordered by a physician. Expenses must be authorized by Seven Corners Assist.

Acute Onset of Pre-existing Conditions

This benefit is provided for Non-U.S. citizens under age 70 if the acute onset of the pre-existing condition occurs while you are covered if you receive treatment in the United States within 24 hours of the sudden and unexpected recurrence. A pre-existing condition that is chronic, congenital or gradually worsens over time is not covered.

How it Works

Coverage Start Date

Coverage will begin on the latest of the following dates:  the day after we receive your application and correct premium if you apply and pay online or by fax; or the day after the postmark date of your application and correct premium if you apply by mail; or the moment you depart your home country; or the date you request on your application. This is your effective date.

Length of Coverage

Inbound Guest – Your coverage length may vary from 5 days to 180 days. You may renew coverage in any increment of 5 days or more (there is a $5 fee each time you renew). You may apply for a new period of coverage after 180 days if you return to your home country* before doing so.

Inbound Choice – Your coverage length may vary from 5 days to a maximum of 364 days in a period of coverage. Your total period of coverage cannot exceed 728 days (two 364-day periods of coverage). You have the option to renew coverage in any increment of 5 days or more (there is a $5 fee each time you renew).

Inbound Immigrant – Your coverage length may vary from 5 days to 364 days in a period of coverage. Your total period of coverage cannot exceed 1,820 days (five 364-day periods of coverage). You may renew your coverage in any increment of 5 days or more (there is a $5 fee each time you renew).

Coverage Expiration Date

Inbound Guest – Your coverage ends at 12:01 AM North American Eastern Time on the earlier of the following: the date you return to your home country; 180 days after your effective date; the expiration date on your ID card; the day you become a U.S. citizen or enter into active military service.

Inbound Choice – Your coverage ends at 12:01 A.M. North American Eastern Time on the earlier of the following: the expiration date on your ID card; the 31st day of your trip to your home country; after completion of 364 days of coverage, unless the company agrees to extend coverage upon such expiration (coverage is available up to 2 years); the day you become a U.S. citizen; the date you enter active military service.

Inbound Immigrant – Your coverage ends at 12:01 A.M. North American Eastern Time on the earliest of the following: the expiration date on your ID card; the 91st day of your incidental trip to your home country; after completion of 364 days of coverage, (unless the company agrees to extend coverage upon expiration; coverage is available up to 5 years); the day you become a U.S. citizen; the date you enter active military service.

*Home Country – means the country you have your true, fixed and permanent residence. For United States Citizens, the Home Country is always the United States.

Extend Coverage 

Inbound Guest – You have the option to extend coverage in any increment of 5 days or more (there is a $5 fee each time you extend). You may apply for a new period of coverage after 180 days if you return to your home country first. 

Inbound Choice – Your total period of coverage cannot exceed 728 days (two 364-day coverage periods). You have the option to extend* coverage in any increment of 5 days or more (there is a $5 fee each time you extend). *Individuals who have their 70th birthday during their coverage period will continue to be covered through their current coverage period but will not be allowed to renew once that coverage period expires.

Inbound Immigrant – Your total period of coverage cannot exceed 1,820 days (five 364-day coverage periods). You have the option to renew coverage in any increment of 5 days or more (there is a $5 fee each time you extend).

Medical Benefits

Inbound Guest – If your injury or sickness requires medical treatment, we will pay the coverage amounts in the schedule of benefits, minus your per person deductible. Medical treatment must be received within 182 days of your injury or sickness.

Inbound Choice – If your injury or sickness requires medical treatment, we will pay up to the amounts in the schedule of benefits, minus your deductible. You must receive treatment within 364 days of your injury or sickness.

Inbound Immigrant – If your injury or sickness requires medical treatment, we will pay up to the amounts in the schedule of benefits, minus your deductible. For an injury, your treatment must begin within 30 days of your injury and must also be received within 364 days (224 days if you are 70 and over) after the date of your injury.
For an illness, treatment must be received within 364 days (224 days if you are 70 and older) of the illness.

International Travel Coverage

If you purchase at least 30 days of coverage, you may travel to countries other than the United States for up to 30 days. This benefit does not include travel to your home country, and it does not extend after your coverage expiration date.

Emergency Medical Evacuation

This benefit pays as shown in the schedule if your medical condition requires immediate transportation from your current medical facility to the closest facility with appropriate care. This benefit must be ordered by Seven Corners Assist in consultation with your attending Physician.

Return of Remains/Local Cremation or Burial

We will return your remains to your home country if you die while traveling or pay for local burial/cremation at the place of death. Arrangements must be made by Seven Corners Assist.

Common Carrier Accidental Death & Dismemberment

This benefit pays up to $25,000 for accidents occurring while you are riding as a passenger in or on any land, water or air conveyance transporting passengers for hire. Your loss must occur within 365 days after the accident date.

Refunds

We will refund your plan cost if we receive a written request from you before your coverage start date. If we receive your request after your coverage start date, the unused portion of your plan cost may be refunded minus a cancellation fee if you have not submitted any claims.
