How We Help Others

Charity: ShelterBox

We love ShelterBox’s work to support recovery efforts after disasters. Their accomplishments are global, and their vision is strong, as they strive “for a world where no family is left without shelter."

As such, Seven Corners has joined forces with ShelterBox in 2019 and 2020 to stock the box! Team members donated money to ship boxes with basic shelter components and supplies to help families get back on their feet.

COVID-19 has unfortunately made ShelterBox’s work more difficult, requiring them to work through travel restrictions to ensure the boxes are delivered to families in need.

According to ShelterBox: Right now, around 85 million around the world have been displaced by natural disaster and conflict. ShelterBox is working to change this.

School: Nora Elementary School

Located right around the corner from Seven Corners, Nora Elementary is filled with inspiring teachers and a bright-eyed and diverse student population. With 82% of students qualifying for free or reduced lunch, Nora Elementary often depends on community assistance to help promote learning opportunities for students and their families.

Over the last few years, Seven Corners has participated with Nora Elementary in several ways:

  • Fundraising for field trip fees.
  • Volunteering in classrooms and as field trip chaperones.
  • Donating school supplies.
  • Donating supplies and time for special projects.
  • Delivered Christmas gifts to six families.
  • Donated candy for Nora’s Trunk or Treat event.
  • Canned food drive for Nora families.
