Travel Insurance and the Middle East Conflict

Seven Corners Trip Protection Basic, Choice, Economy, Elite, and Cruise

Our carrier, United States Fire Insurance Company is closely monitoring developments regarding the conflict in the Middle East, which began February 28, 2026. This is a concerning and evolving situation for people throughout the Middle East region and around the world. Our highest concern is the safety and well-being of our traveling public.

The majority of our travel protection plan designs exclude coverage for losses resulting from hostilities between nations and acts of war. However, coverage may vary depending on your specific travel protection plan, so we encourage you to review your policy documents for details on how your coverage may apply.

If you are currently in the Middle East and impacted by the conflict, we encourage you to reach out to Seven Corners Assist. We understand the nature of your situation and are here to provide assistance. Our ultimate goal is to help our customers navigate through this very serious situation. We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.

Coverage available for travelers could include Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) and Interruption for Any Reason (IFAR).

Cancel for Any Reason: If a traveler wants the option to cancel their trip because of the war, they could utilize CFAR. Their reason for canceling a trip could include, but is not limited to, fear of travel due to the war. Travelers should review the plan document for their state of residence for the requirements to purchase and make a CFAR claim.

Interruption for Any Reason: If a traveler wants the option to interrupt their trip because of the war, they could utilize IFAR. Their reason for interrupting a trip could include, but is not limited to, fear of travel due to the war. Travelers should review the plan document for their state of residence for the requirements to purchase and make an IFAR claim.

There is a general exclusion for war that eliminates coverage provided by medical benefits and most other plan benefits if a loss is due to war, hostilities, or war-like operations. Travelers should review the policy carefully, including the definition of war, hostilities, and war-like operation.
