Trip Cost Protection

Trip Cancellation 100% of Trip Cost up to $20,000

Covers your non-refundable, prepaid trip cost if you are unable to take your trip due to a covered reason.

Trip Interruption Up to 150% of Trip Cost

Covers the non-refundable, unused portion of your prepaid trip cost and the additional cost to return home or rejoin your trip due to a covered reason.

Trip Delay $600

Pays for additional transportation, meals, accommodations and non-refundable, unused prepaid expenses if you are delayed 6 or more hours en route to/from your trip. (Separate coverage reasons apply.)

Missed Connection $1,000

Pays additional transportation costs to join your cruise or tour if you miss your connection due to a delay of 3 or more hours. Also covers accommodations, meals, and non-refundable trip payments for the unused portion of the cruise or tour. (Separate coverage reasons apply.)

Medical Protection

Emergency Medical Expense $100,000

Covers medical treatment for a sickness or injury which occurs during your trip.

Emergency Medical Evacuation/Repatriation $500,000

We will transport you to the nearest appropriate medical facility if medically necessary and return your remains to your residence or burial place if you die while traveling. If you are hospitalized more than 7 days, we will 1) transport dependent children home if they are traveling with you and 2) send a person chosen by you to/from your bedside if you are traveling alone.

Baggage Protection

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Baggage & Personal Effects $1,500

Baggage Delay $300

Covers checked bags if delayed more than 12 hours. (This is secondary to other coverage.)

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

24-Hour AD&D $10,000

Pays benefits for death, loss of limbs, or loss of sight due to an accident occurring on your trip.

Common Carrier AD&D $10,000

Pays benefits for death, loss of limbs, or loss of sight due to an accident which occurs when you are riding, boarding, or alighting from a common carrier.

Political Evacuation $20,000
This benefit pays to transport you to the nearest safe place or to your primary residence if you must leave your trip because a Travel Advisory or Travel Warning is issued by the U.S. State Department for you to leave a country you are visiting due to 1)civil, military or political unrest; or 2) you being expelled or declared persona non-grata by a country you are visiting. This benefit is not available if a Travel Advisory or Travel Warning is issued before your arrival in that country or if the country is listed as an Excluded Country before your arrival there. Benefits are payable only if arrangements are made by Seven Corners Assist. 

Pre-Existing Medical Condition Waiver
Pre-existing conditions are excluded from coverage. If you are concerned about coverage for these conditions, the exclusion is waived if you buy RoundTrip Choice within 20 days of your initial trip payment or deposit and you insure all nonrefundable prepaid trip costs. You must also insure the cost of all subsequent travel arrangements added to your trip within 20 days of the payment date for each of those arrangements. 


Optional Benefits

Flight Accident $100,000, $250,000 or $500,000

Pays additional AD&D benefits due to an accident occurring while you are a passenger on an aircraft.

Rental Car Damage $35,000

Provides rental car coverage while on your trip.

Cancel For Any Reason 75% of Trip Cost

Pays if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered, if 1) you cancel 2 days or more before departure, 2) you buy coverage within 20 days of your initial trip deposit, and 3) you insure all nonrefundable prepaid trip costs (you must also insure the cost of subsequent travel arrangements added to your trip within 15 days of the payment/deposit for each of those arrangements).

Cancel for Work Reasons 100% of Trip Cost

This option adds the covered reasons below for trip cancellation. (Coverage must be purchased within 20 days of your initial trip deposit.)
  • Company merger/acquisition
  • Transfer which requires relocation of your principal residence
  • Requirement to work during the trip
  • Place of employment unsuitable for business due to fire, flood, burglary, or natural disaster
Note: Coverage for job termination & layoff is included in the base plan. 

Non-Insurance Services

24/7 Travel Assistance Service Included
(provided by Seven Corners Assist)

Lost Ski Days & Equipment Rental $500 ($250 ski days/$250 equipment) or $1,000 ($500 ski days/$500 equipment)

Pays for your lift ticket if you cannot ski because 50% or more of the trails are closed. Also pays for equipment rental if your checked sports equipment is lost, stolen, damaged or delayed 12 hours or longer. You may not purchase both the golf and ski option on the same plan.

Lost Golf Rounds & Equipment Rental $500 ($250 golf/$250 equipment) or $1,000 ($500 golf/$500 equipment)

Pays for prepaid golf tickets or greens fees if you cannot play 9 holes of an 18-hole round due to weather. Also pays for equipment rental if your checked sports equipment is lost, stolen, damaged or delayed 12 hours or longer. You may not purchase both the golf and ski options on the same plan.

Filing A Claim

When paying for your trip, please save all documents, as this information will be required to process any claim. Send the itemized bill to Seven Corners within 90 days, along with a completed claim form. Visit our claims page.

Refunds

Plan costs are nonrefundable after 10-day review period.

General Exclusions and Limitations

Insurance Benefits are not payable for any loss due to, arising or resulting from:

Suicide, attempted suicide or any intentionally self-inflicted injury of you, a traveling companion, family member or business partner booked to travel with you, while sane or insane; an act of declared or undeclared war; participating in maneuvers or training exercises of an armed service, except while participating in weekend or summer training for the reserve forces of the United States, including the National Guard; riding or driving in races, or speed or endurance competitions or events; mountaineering (engaging in the sport of scaling mountains generally requiring the use of picks, ropes, or other special equipment); participating as a member of a team in an organized sporting competition or participating as a professional in a stunt, athletic or sporting event or competition; participating in skydiving or parachuting, parasailing, hang gliding, bungee cord jumping, extreme skiing, skiing outside marked trails or heli-skiing, mountaineering, any race, speed contests not including any of the regatta races, spelunking or caving, hot air ballooning, or scuba diving if the depth exceeds 120 feet (40 meters) or if you are not certified to dive and a dive master is not present during the dive; piloting or learning to pilot or acting as a member of the crew of any aircraft; being intoxicated or under the influence of any controlled substance unless as administered or prescribed by a legally qualified physician; the commission of or attempt to commit a felony or being engaged in an illegal occupation; normal childbirth or pregnancy (except complications of pregnancy) or voluntarily induced abortion; dental treatment (except as coverage is otherwise specifically provided herein); amounts which exceed the maximum benefit amount for each coverage as shown in the Schedule of Benefits; due to a pre-existing condition, as defined in the plan documents. The pre-existing condition limitation does not apply to the emergency medical evacuation or return of remains coverage; any amount paid or payable under any worker’s compensation, disability benefit or similar law; a loss or damage caused by detention, confiscation or destruction by customs; elective treatment and procedures; medical treatment during or arising from a trip undertaken for the purpose or intent of securing medical treatment; an assessment from a legally qualified physician advising you in writing that you, a traveling companion, family member or business partner booked to travel with you are not medically fit to travel, as defined in the plan documents, at the time of purchase of coverage for a trip.

Baggage Exclusions And Limitations

Additional Exclusions for Baggage and Personal Effects: animals; automobiles and automobile equipment; boats or other vehicles or conveyances; trailers; motors; aircraft; bicycles, except when checked as baggage with a Common Carrier; household effects and furnishings; antiques and collectors items; sunglasses, contact lenses, artificial teeth, dentures, dental bridges, retainers, or hearing aids; artificial limbs or other prosthetic devices; prescribed medications; keys, money, stamps and credit cards (except as otherwise specifically covered herein); securities, stamps, tickets and documents (except as coverage is otherwise specifically provided herein); professional or occupational equipment or property, whether or not electronic business equipment ; or telephones or PDA devices , computer hardware or software;

Additional Exclusions for Baggage and Personal Effects: Benefits are not payable for any loss caused by or resulting from: breakage of brittle or fragile articles; wear and tear or gradual deterioration; confiscation or appropriation by order of any government or custom’s rule; theft or pilferage while left in any unlocked vehicle; property illegally acquired, kept, stored or transported; your negligent acts or omissions; or property shipped as freight or shipped prior to the scheduled departure date;

Excluded Country means one of the following countries from which political evacuations (non-medical emergency evacuations) are not available such as Afghanistan, Chechnya, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Israel West Bank, Israel Gaza Strip, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or any country subject to the administration and enforcement of the U.S. economic embargoes and trade sanctions by the Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC).


 A pre-existing condition is any injury, sickness or condition of you, your traveling companion, or your family member booked to travel with you which within 60 days prior to the effective date of coverage (a) first manifested itself or exhibited symptoms that would have caused one to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; (b) required taking prescribed drugs or medicine, unless the condition for which the prescribed drug or medicine is taken remains controlled without any change in the required prescription; or (c) required medical treatment or treatment was recommended by a physician.

Initial Trip Deposit - means the first day any payment has been applied towards your land/air/sea arrangements.
